About Quilt Sampler

Quilt Sampler was started in 1994 by Cristen Jones with a loan from family. Cristen grew up under her grandmothers quilt frames at church. She loved the creative outlet that quilting offered! Cristen’s Dad had owned his own service station and she always wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps. So she put the love of quilting together with the desire to open and run her own business. She opened the Quilt Sampler in the Plaza shopping Center in Springfield Missouri in a 1,500 square foot space. Since that day in 1994 we have expanded to two stores, another store in Tulsa Oklahoma, we have a total of 12,000 square feet of retail space, 9,000 bolts of fabric and 4 machine lines.
 

The Quilt Sampler’s philosophy is to use the best quality products and to teach the best techniques available. We sell Pfaff and Bernina – the two best machine lines in the business. We have a wide selection of fabrics, Batiks, 30’s, 1800 reproductions, flannels, contemporary and traditional.  We sell Moda, Benartex, Willimgton, South Seas, Windham, Hoffman, P&B and many more lines of fabrics. We also sell Kaye England fabric, rulers, patterns and books.   We LOVE to sew, whether it is a quilt top, a bag or elaborate embroidery design. Come in and say Hi sometime and see what great staff and products we have to offer. Mention “Newman” and get a free fat quarter.
