Jelly Roll Rug Class

Supply List:
-Sewing machine in good working order (must have a zig-zag stitch)

-Walking foot and a standard foot. If you have dual feed be sure to bring a open toe foot that has dual feed.

-Jeans or denim size 90 or 100 needle

-Thread that will be seen on both sides of the rug. I like King Tut, or a variegated thread. You will need 2 spools if you use King Tut, and only 1 spool if you use a variegated Aurifil.

-Jelly roll rug pattern

-Jelly roll (42 strips)

-1 roll of 2.25 Kathahdin 2.25x 50yd batting (You can cut your own batting, but after doing it both ways it is much faster and way less stress on your hands to use the batting on the roll)

-Clover Fabric Tube Maker (CV4022). This is optional, but highly recommended! You will be faster and more accurate using this tool.

-Binding clips

Please have all your strips sewn together on the diagonal before class. Please do not go any farther as we will not be following the same order as the pattern. I have found that if you sew them together just like they come out of the package it will look great! Just make sure that you have 2-3 dark strips at the end to frame the rug. Do not wind in a ball, just bring it in a pile, or if you cant stand that you can fan fold!
