Valori Wells – Artist, Visionary, and Textile Trailblazer
Innovative, creative, and fearless, Valori Wells brings an unmistakable energy to the world of textile design. With a background in fine arts and a trained photographer’s eye, Valori sees the world through a vibrant lens—capturing the colors, textures, and rhythms of nature and culture, then translating them into richly layered fabric collections.
Her signature style blends global influences—particularly the intricate beauty of Moroccan art—with hand-carved block printing techniques that set her work apart as both bold and soulful. Every design reflects her deep-rooted connection to fabric, shaped by a lifetime immersed in the artistry of quilting and textiles.
Valori is more than a designer—she is a creative force. She has authored and co-authored twelve books, leads pattern design collections, and plays a pivotal role in the quilting community through her leadership at the Stitchin’ Post in Sisters, Oregon—a business she co-owns with her mother and mentor, Jean Wells. Together, they have built not only a destination shop but a creative legacy, hosting the internationally recognized Quilter’s Affair Conference each July.
Valori Wells continues to inspire makers worldwide with her edgy elegance, fearless spirit, and a passion for turning art into fabric that tells a story.
